Tuna Biscuits with Cheese

Few can resist the taste of my tuna biscuits with cheese recipe. A creamy tuna mixture bubbles underneath a hot biscuit topping for a satisfying supper.

PREP: 20 minutes
BAKE: 30 minutes
OVEN: 425°F
MAKES: 4 to 6 servings

INGREDIENTS
½ cup chopped onion
½ cup chopped green sweet pepper
3 tablespoons butter
1 10 ¾ -ounce can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 cup milk
1 9-ounce can tuna, drained and flaked
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 7 ¾ -ounce package cheese-garlic or 3-cheese complete biscuit mix

PREPARATION
1. In a large saucepan cook onion and sweet pepper in butter over medium heat until tender. Stir in soup and milk. Cook and stir until bubbly. Stir in tuna and lemon juice.
2. Transfer to an ungreased 1 ½-quart casserole. Bake, uncovered, in a 425°F oven for 15 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, prepare biscuit mix according to package directions. Drop batter in 6 mounds onto hot tuna mixture. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes more or until biscuits are golden and a wooden toothpick inserted in the center of a biscuit comes out clean.
