Stroganoff / Beef Casserole Recipe
A classic family recipe! This beef casserole recipe is so easy it practically cooks itself. Also known as beef stroganoff. If you know most of this dish is going to be served immediately, the crispy bread topping is a great addition. However, if you are like me and want to save a couple of servings for later on, hold off on the topping to prevent the bread from getting stale.
Time to Prepare: 25-30 minutes
Time to Cook: 5-10 minutes

INGREDIENTS
1 lb ground beef
1 can cream of mushroom soup
½ can water
12 oz egg noodles
salt and pepper to taste
TOPPING (optional)
2 pieces white bread
PREPARATION
Brown beef, breaking up into small pieces. Drain grease and set aside. Cook noodles until tender, drain and add to medium casserole dish. Add cream of mushroom soup, water and beef, stir well. Cover and microwave for 5 minutes when ready to serve, salt and pepper to taste. For optional topping, tear bread into bite-sized pieces, sprinkle over casserole and bake for 5-10 minutes at 400° until toasted. easy-casserole-recipes.com
